Abstract

The current research aims to identify the attitudes of middle school students towards the use of artificial intelligence in computers according to the variables of gender and grade level. To achieve this goal, a sample of middle school students was randomly selected, consisting of (100) male and female students in the fourth grade of middle school, and (100) male and female students in the fifth grade of middle school for the academic year 2025/2026 AD. The questionnaire items consisting of (30 items) were built by the researcher in the form of a three options multiple choice type. It aims to measure the attitudes of middle school students towards the use of artificial intelligence in computers. The face validity and reliability of the scale were verified using Pearson's correlation coefficient, which has a value of (80%). After analyzing the data using the t-test for one sample and for two independent samples, and with the help of the statistical program (SPSS), the research results showed the following:

  1. There is a statistically significant difference between the sample mean and the hypothetical mean of the attitude scale, favoring the research sample.
  2. There are no statistically significant differences in the attitudes of middle school students toward the use of artificial intelligence in computers attributable to the gender variable (males and females).

3.There are statistically significant differences in the attitudes of middle school students towards the use of artificial intelligence in computers between the fourth and sixth grades of the scientific stream, in favor of the sixth grade of the scientific stream.
