Abstract

The study aims to find out the effect of using “Numbered Heads” strategy in developing positive thinking among second-year intermediate students in physics. For the purpose of verifying the objectives of the study, a sample was selected from second-year intermediate students for the academic year (2022 - 2023). The number of members reached (56) students, which was divided into two groups, one of them represented the experimental group studied according to the numbered heads strategy, the other group represented the control group studied according to the normal method. The process of equivalence was conducted between the two study groups in the variables (chronological age in months, intelligence, previous achievement, and positive thinking scale). The researcher adopted a positive thinking scale after ensuring its validity and reliability, and used the “T-test” to determine the results. The results indicated that there were significant difference at the level (0.05) between the average scores of students in the experimental and control groups on the positive thinking scale, in favor of the experimental group.
