The Effect of Using the Learning-by-Play Strategy in Teaching the Arabic Language in Developing Critical Thinking Skills among First-Year Intermediate Students

The current study aimed to identify the effect of using learning by playing strategy in teaching Arabic and developing critical thinking skills for first-grade intermediate students in Nineveh Governorate. In the study, the researcher followed the quasi-experimental approach, where the study sample consisted of (52) students who were divided into two groups, control and experimental. on the critical thinking test in favor of the experimental group. The researcher prepared a guide for learning through play. To achieve the objectives of his research, he designed a test for critical thinking skills, and the results showed that there was a statistical difference between the average scores of the two research groups that he studied using the gamified learning strategy and the scores of the control group that studied in the usual way on the critical thinking test, in favor of the experimental group.
