This research aimed to reveal the frustrated belonging among the employees of the technological university. The research sample consisted of (150) employees from the University of Technology cadres, who were selected randomly. The frustrated belonging scale was prepared by relying on the definition of Joiner (2005). The scale consisted of (25) paragraphs in its initial form. The psychometric properties of the scale were confirmed by finding the discriminatory power of each paragraph and finding the relationship of the paragraph to the total score of the two scales. The researchers also extracted the reliability using the Cronbach's alpha and split-half methods. The reliability value using the Cronbach's alpha method for the frustrated belonging scale was (0.803), while its reliability value using the split-half method reached (0.764). The frustrated belonging scale in its final form reached (17) paragraphs. After processing the data statistically using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS), the researchers reached the following results:
- The research sample is characterized by frustrated belonging to a small or weak degree.
- Males do not differ from females in frustrated belonging.
- Unmarried people are more frustrated belonging than married people.
- There is no statistically significant difference on the frustrated belonging scale according to the age variable.
The researchers came up with a set of recommendations and proposals.
