Abstract

The research aims to shed light on American neutrality and isolation since President Washington’s Doctrine on September 17, 1796, and President Monroe’s Doctrine, which he announced on December 2, 1823. That neutrality changed following the outbreak of World War I in 1914, specifically in 1917 and the declaration of war on Germany and its allies, on April 6, 1917.
