The current research aims to study the effect of the visual thinking strategy on developing algebraic thinking skills among female first-year intermediate students. The study sample included (67) female students, who were randomly divided into two groups: an experimental group that included (35) female students who studied using the visual thinking strategy, and the control group includes (32) female students who studied in the traditional way. The researcher prepared a test consisting of (28) items to measure algebraic thinking skills, which include: recognizing patterns, representing relationships and functions, and using variables and algebraic symbols. The validity and reliability of measurement were also verified, and appropriate statistical methods were used to analyze data.
